EV sales status in the first half of 2023

The Electric Vehicle Council's annual State of EVs report shows that electric vehicle sales across Australia surged, with over 45,000 sold in the first half of 2023, making up 8.4 per cent of all new car sales in 2023. In NSW, 15% of the population live in apartments, and nearly 84,000 strata schemes exist. These schemes consistently display a lack of EV chargers installed, restricting residents from access to this technological advancement.

Through reputable councils, Governments and industries recognising this drastic societal change toward reducing the release of CO2 emissions and transitioning toward carbon-neutral alternatives of Electrical Vehicles (EV), we take one step closer to a more sustainable future. It is predicted that there will be an exponential increase in the number of EVs on the road in the coming years, and it will be up to governments and private businesses to ensure the rollout of EV infrastructure keeps pace with the demand.
