About the funding

There is a fixed incentive amount per vehicle and smart charging infrastructure, as outlined in the table below. This is for vehicles registered and chargers procured between 12 November 2024 and 10 June 2025.

Vehicles registered and chargers purchased outside the 12 November 2024 – 10 June 2025 window will receive the standard incentive amounts outlined in the Guidelines.

Kick-start funding now offers your business a share of $13 million funding for procuring up to 15 EVs, as well as smart charger funding.

Acceleration funding is available for eligible NSW businesses who have new vehicles registered and chargers purchased from 12 November 2024 and 10 June 2025.

Previous kick-start funding applicants are eligible to apply for acceleration funding only after completing their previous funding agreement(s).

Funding will be distributed on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so apply today!

The eligibility criteria has also been expanded to include:

  • kick-start funding can be provided for up to 15 EVs (and optional smart chargers).

  • Individual truck operators (applicants with an ABN and at least one truck registered in NSW under that ABN) are now eligible for kick-start funding.
